6th year feeling very burnt out at V20 firm. I've been interviewing in-house but nothing seems particularly exciting.
I've been interviewing at a boutique (under 30 lawyer) entertainment firm that seems like it does really interesting work, but total comp is about 300-325k with 1750 billables.
On one hand I feel like my days here are numbered, on the other, I may be able to lateral to another firm and grind out similar comp for a year or two. I realize there is a ton of variation among litigation boutiques (maybe this is considered midlaw, but its all big law refugees), but I'm wondering if those who have lateraled to similar firms are happy with the decision or regretful about the comp.
