I’m a junior, client side. I was in a group call just minding my own business in the background, not doing or saying anything. Honestly, I was kind of squinting slightly at this bug above my monitor camera.
Next thing I know, my face is highlighted for everyone to see. This lasted for at least 5 minutes. What the hell? I’m just trying to survives these things, you know? Prepare for everything, be everything and nothing all at once. Only speak when spoken to. Now my face is blinding everyone. I’m getting weird looks. My boss thinks I’m gunning for his position, interrupting the meeting just to get face time.
Does anyone know why this would happen? Is someone trying to make me look bad? Call me out? This deal is a nightmare. I’ve been awake for days. My feedback hasn’t been great. Boss is now highly suspicious. Our counsel seems oddly distracted as of late.
I look like current day Danny Devito. Can’t imagine that’s relevant though.
