Yes, being a mid-level has always sucked from the dino age to now. But it’s been particularly sucky (and honestly a little amusing) now. I feel caught between mopping up a junior’s AI slop and a partner who thinks AI is a legal magician that allows me to do 20 complex tasks in half the time. They said AI would replace lawyers, but it’s just made clients and partners even more unrealistic and demanding.
