I just booked a week long international vacation in August. I do not have any deadlines I know about yet during this time frame and I am also on pace for approximately 100 hours over bonus threshold. I typically work a little bit on vacations and have no problem doing that again. My main question is how common it is to have to cancel a trip for work? I have this irrational fear that somebody could ask me to do so as this is my first international trip since joining the firm and also the most expensive trip I have booked as well. Plus, I think my spouse would kill me… I assume canceling would only be required in the most extreme circumstance?
