I work at an AmLaw100 firm and I got an offer to go join holland and knight. The thing is at my current firm the partners I work for love me, and all but one teared when I said I was leaving but is also very sad. Needless to say they are trying everything to get me to stay. One of the reasons I am leaving is that we don’t have proper support staff and don’t pay market bonuses. They promised to bring someone else in and already hired me an assistant. I make above market money at this am law (I make 40-50k above market, but no market bonuses). Would you leave a firm where everyone has said they see you as the next group/office leader and where they are all extremely vested in your success for HK?
