I love nyc, and I’ve always wanted to live there, but ik it has significant drawbacks (rent, taxes, all the schlepping, dark and cold winters, etc.). I think all the benefits of the city make it worth dealing with the drawbacks, but that’s only true if you actually have time to enjoy them.
I wouldn’t want to live in nyc and have to pay the crazy rent and taxes and deal with all the bits of life that the city makes harder if I never get a chance to meet all the cool people, go to the amazing restaurants, go to best stores, etc. If im gonna be stuck in an office and never have time for all that, I’d be better off staying in my local market, so I can at least save a ton of money.

I will be debt free.
I don’t care about working at a v10 or whatever and getting the best exposure. I just want a solid career with a decent balance of earning and life enjoyment potential lol
