In a very un-BigLaw-Partner move, my primary partner took me, a junior partner and another associate to the playoffs last night. No clients and not in a firm box, meaning he paid out of his dime. Absurd, I know. Very grateful.
I want to get him something to say thank you. Obviously he can afford anything he wants. He is not a big drinker and is a pretty regular dude otherwise. His interests outside of work are naturally limited, but I know he likes to cycle, spend time with his wife/daughter/son and he likes nice cars (i.e., middle age white guy vibe).
I was thinking of something from the MoMA Design Store that he can just keep in his office or home office. I thought of something Knicks related, but it is all a bit tacky or ugly. Does anyone have any other creative thank you gift ideas?
