I hope you are not still working. I am a 20+ year biglaw veteran, certified paralegal but work as a Document Specialist at a top 5 firm.
Today sucked, I don't understand why Saturdays have been so bad lately. When I first started at the firm 6 years ago, they were not so bad. The past year has been really rough though.
I read your posts here, and I feel like there is a lot of general anxiety due to AI and workload. And burnout. I am feeling it too, today was brutal. I love the actual work I do, but I am very tired. There's been an uptick in punching down lately. I can tell when you're overwhelmed. Sometimes I am too. I am very grateful to those of you who still take a moment to say "thank you" and add a moment of humanity to my day.
edit: i meant to add I've been accepted into a program of fully paid training for a technical role I've been interested in, totally outside of law and I am wondering whether or not to leave biglaw and embark on a new adventure.
