I dont see how life as a midlevel is better.

As a litigation second year, I’ve noticed that midlevels don’t seem to have any more control over their schedule than juniors. Partners and senior associates delegate tasks to juniors and midlevels seemingly interchangeably, and I haven’t yet encountered any teams where midlevels can push work onto juniors. If anything, the midlevels seem to have more responsibility (midlevel might prep talking points and negotiate during a M&C while junior just takes notes) but still get all the grunt work.

Does it actually get better?
