Ideas for addressing the alleged bullying problem at Lathams Houston office

Things are seriously getting out of hand. Been seeing and hearing about various instances of associates bullying partners at L&W’s Houston office.

For example, associates apparently use vile nicknames to refer to certain unpopular partners. Eg, “Ugly Glen Powell”, MOST (short for “Mean Collin Jost”), and BH (apparently short for “Big Hair” to refer to a partner struggling with male pattern baldness). This all seems a bit juvenile. Like this isn’t HS anymore, partners don’t deserve to be mocked/bullied/othered just because they are unpopular.

And look, I know associates there are all overworked, sleep deprived, in heavy debt, etc. and I know that “hurt people hurt people”. But is it really okay to tolerate this level of bullying against partners?

I wonder if this is caused by LW Houston being too focused on transactional work. I feel like if there were more litigation partners in that firm they would know how to “fight back” and would’ve nipped this in the bud using some of that famous alpha theatre kid energy.
