I (mid-level RE associate) work out of my firm's London office. Last minute, the partner sends me to some remote town in Romania to close with this client (apparently like a very wealthy man); he wants to close a couple related transactions when I'm out there. I learn that I'm the only associate going on this business trip? And what's more, I'm here and it's just me and the client? I only have spotty service out here, but I'm also hearing that the partner recently went on mental health leave....
What should I do?
