I’ve had a lot of people contact me off a comment I left a few years ago, about 3 per month, so I figured I’d make a post.
Taking a break when you need it is crucial. I’ve had 2 friends in big law attempt suicide due to the crushing stress. I myself have taken a mental health leave twice during my time in big law and it made a huge difference in my well being. Many of my friends have done it as well.
If you’re hitting the wall please take a break. If you want someone to talk to or help you through the process please reach out. It’s a medical leave and you continue to be paid while you recuperate.
