Partner doesn’t want me working with anyone else and consistently tries to block any efforts of me getting work from other partners. She sees me as her protege (she won’t retire for another 20 years) but keeps me extremely siloed on her work which I don’t think is great for my career. She also puts more requirements on me that aren’t firm requirements (e.g. requiring me to come in 5 days a week instead of the 4 required or wants me to sit in the office until she leaves because that’s how it used to be back in the day). I’m feeling very stuck, need any guidance on how to deal with this. I dread work daily even though my reviews are great.
