Hi everyone, this is my first post here (been spending a lot of time reading other posts but I guess I became a bit desperate). I made a huge mistake at work - basically I joined a call with a client alone (I thought it was a simple call, that is why I was confident about it) and literally discussed the wrong strategy to them because my other colleague from the other department was presenting it to the client and I did not catch the fact that it was wrong.
Few weeks later the client wants to implement said strategy and my supervisor caught the mistake. I was told I should have not entered that call alone (another team member knows the client better) and that I should have been more careful. I literally did not realize how bad it was until now
No one was mean to me, but I feel a great amount of shame and I feel like I will not recover soon from this
I was trying to be more independent and look where that landed me..
I have been crying all day.
Any advice?
I am sorry for any mistakes - english is not my first language.
