Started as a first-year recently, and I’m trying to figure out what “being available” really looks like day to day. Is it just being ready to respond quickly when something comes in, or do people literally keep their laptops open and ready even when they’re not on an assignment? I’ve heard stories of folks having their laptop out at a bar “just in case,” so now I’m wondering what’s actually normal.
