Junior lit associate and the firm has made it abundantly clear that when we take meeting notes the expectation is that we’ll produce a word by word transcript of the meeting.
My question is aside from using AI which we’re not allowed to do and would be hard to pull off in-person, what tips/tricks do you use to basically transcribe meetings in real time?
I feel like transcription is a specific skill and without training in shorthand or stenography I don’t know how anyone is able to consistently produce accurate notes at that level.
Any help would be much appreciated.
