Ironic, no?
There are a lot of well-deserved rants on this sub about partners who expect you to be on call all the time including the weekend.
But partners themselves are often the most egregious email shunners over the weekend
I caught a request from a client late Friday evening asking us for a “go/no go” decision on a strategic issue on a transaction. That sort of decision is frankly for the partner to make and I immediately sent the partner an email with my own view and asking for a confirm or no confirm.
Stony silence so far (and I am in Europe so it is late afternoon here).
I may have to call the partner but if they can’t be arsed to read their emails I don’t know if that is a good idea.
Well, rant over.
EDIT: Called the partner, who picked up and we went through the issue.
I was discreet enough not to mention that that I had sent an email on the question last evening. They'll see that later.
