They only told me after I’d been at the new firm for a month. I requested a clawback provision and they refused and said this is normal. Has anyone heard of this? Does anyone have advice?

To clarify: this is for a “kickback” bonus from the recruiters not the law firm. The recruiters mentioned the 5k bonus to me 2 separate times before I started at the new firm and not once did they mention that they wouldn’t pay the bonus until I’d been at the new firm for 12 months.
