Was talking with some folks recently and I’m at a T6. Two of them turned down Davis Polk offers for Debevoise, and another gave up S&C for Debevoise as well. When I asked why, culture kept coming up.
Genuinely curious what people think — what’s special about Debevoise that’s got people walking away from V5 offers? Is the work itself on par with V10 generally, or is this mostly a lifestyle/culture trade-off?
