tldr associates, some of whom started last week, are desperately looking for jobs to pay their rent. It doesn't matter what credentials you have you're not going to instantly get a job. Reminder that even after all the departures Weil still has like 90 Chambers ranked partners, 21 band 1. Ninety partners at the supposed pinnacle of their profession can't bring in enough work to keep the firm going. Fuck you Weil partners.
When's the final partner vote by the way? Should be today or tomorrow sometime.
