Genuine question: by what year are BigLaw associates expected to stop producing work product that needs major cleanup?
I’m trying to understand when the expectation becomes: “You should be able to produce something that is basically client-ready.”
Is that a 3rd-year expectation? 4th-year? Later? Does it depend heavily on the practice group or the type of assignment?
For senior associates/partners: what mistakes are normal for juniors, and what mistakes make you think, “This person is too senior to still be doing this”?
