I’m a fourth year corporate actively looking for lateral and in-house. I’m well liked at my current firm and do good work but also have a healthy level of paranoia and have definitely received criticism from some tough partners on deals.
I started applying to other firms and companies late March and I’ve been surprised by the amount of interview opportunities (and I’ve received two offers thus far). So if you are in a role where you do not feel appreciated and deal with assholes on the daily, don’t let your current firm make you think you are not good enough. You are!! Keep your head down and keep grinding, good things will happen!
